STEP 1
How to cook uzvar from dried fruits? Prepare the necessary dried fruits. I indicated the quantity approximately. You can add a little more of this or that product that you like best. You can replace one ingredient with another or make a drink not from four types of dried fruits, like mine, but from two or three.
STEP 2
Rinse dried fruits well in cold water to remove dust and other contaminants. Then pour boiling water over the dried fruits. Let them sit for a couple of minutes. Then drain the water.
STEP 3
Cut several slices of ginger root. And take some cloves for flavor.
STEP 4
Place all prepared dried fruits in a cooking pot. Add ginger and cloves. Pour cold water over the ingredients and place the pan on the fire. Bring the water to a boil and cook for about 3-5 minutes. Then remove the pan from the heat, cover with a lid and leave the uzvar to steep for 3-4 hours. The longer it infuses, the richer and tastier the drink will be.
STEP 5
It will be even better if you cover the pan with a warm blanket so that its contents cool slowly. Strain the infused uzvar through several layers of gauze to remove all small particles. Afterwards, you can put the dried fruits back into the compote. Or add them directly to the glass before serving. Add a little honey to the drink to taste.
STEP 6
Pour the finished uzvar into a decanter and help yourself. Enjoy your meal!
