STEP 1

How to make sour cream garlic sauce? Very simple and fast! Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Immediately wash the dill in running water and dry well with paper towels.
STEP 2

Take sour cream with 20% fat content (in extreme cases, 15%), since working with too thick sour cream, it will no longer be a sauce, but something similar to a fatty “cream”. If you use sour cream, for example, 10% fat, then the sauce will turn out liquid. And if you try to decorate a dish with it, nothing will work, it will spread too much. Conversely, a sauce that is too thick will not spread at all, and it will also not look beautiful on the dish.
STEP 3

Peel and chop the garlic with a knife, or grate it on a fine grater or put it through a garlic press, as I did. Place the chopped garlic in a bowl with the sour cream and add salt, stir, let the sauce become saturated with the aroma of garlic. You can add more garlic if you wish, if you like its pronounced taste, adding 2 cloves of garlic will give it a light taste and aftertaste.
STEP 4

Now remove all the stems from the dill, they are tough and will spoil the sauce. Finely chop the dill. If you like dill taste, then press the chopped dill several times with the flat part of the knife blade.
STEP 5

Add the dill to the sauce bowl and mix everything well. The sauce is almost ready. To complete it, place the sauce in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes so that the sour cream absorbs the taste and aroma of garlic and dill.
STEP 6

What's the best way to serve sour cream and garlic sauce? Serve it chilled. Before serving, transfer the sauce to a beautiful gravy boat, ramekin or bowl.
STEP 7
