My children love sausage cake made from cookies, so I make them this delicious treat from time to time. There are several recipes for this sausage. I liked this one for its ease of preparation. For the shortbread crumble I used fresh cottage cheese cookies. To grind I used a blender and made coarse crumbs in it. I boiled the chocolate syrup in a saucepan and immediately poured it over the prepared cookies. At first I wanted to add nuts as a filler, but after reading the comments I decided to try another option. I had a glass of shelled sunflower seeds, so I added them. First, I lightly fried the seeds in a dry frying pan. This option is unusual for me, I have never done this before. It turned out to be very tasty! The chocolate taste of the sausage goes well not only with nuts, but also with seeds. The sausage itself is moderately sweet, but this rather depends on the chosen cookie. It keeps its shape well, especially in the refrigerator) The children liked the delicacy and ate it quickly.

A wonderful recipe, most importantly it’s quick and easy and the whole family loves it. only I always add more cocoa powder so that the sausage has a rich chocolate color!!
