STEP 1
How to prepare a fragrant compote of fresh strawberries in sugar syrup with the addition of citric acid in jars for next winter, which will undoubtedly appeal to many for its great taste? First of all, we prepare the necessary products for preparing a wonderful strawberry compote.
STEP 2
To prepare compote, take a large saucepan and place it on the stove, then pour two liters of water into it.
STEP 3
Pour one kilogram of seven hundred grams of sugar into a saucepan with water, then cover it with a lid and, stirring occasionally, cook the syrup at the highest temperature on the stove.
STEP 4
Wash two kilograms of fresh strawberries well, then cut off the sepals and cut each berry in half, then place the berries in a large bowl and fill with the prepared sugar syrup.
STEP 5
Infuse and soak the berries in sugar syrup, stirring gently occasionally for three to four hours.
STEP 6
After time has passed, take the required number of pre-washed sterilized jars and fill each of them one-third with the prepared berries.
STEP 7
Pour the berry syrup from the basin into the saucepan, then add one quarter teaspoon of citric acid to it.
STEP 8
Place the saucepan on the stove and close it with a lid, then bring the berry syrup to a boil over high heat on the stove.
STEP 9
Pour the prepared berry syrup hot into jars with berries, not adding a little to the top, and cover the jars with sterile lids.
STEP 10
Place the jars in a pan with water placed on the stove, which should reach the hangers of the jars, and first cover the bottom of the pan with a kitchen napkin.
STEP 11
Cover the pan with a lid and bring the water in it to a boil, then continue to sterilize the jars of compote at low stove temperature for fifteen minutes.
STEP 12
After time has passed, remove the jars of compote from the pan and cover them tightly with lids.
