1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to brew coffee with cognac? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Pour ground coffee into the Turk. The quality of the drink will depend on the quality of the coffee, so use good, insoluble coffee. Depending on what kind of drink you like, strong or not, take two tablespoons of ground coffee, with or without a slide.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Add a pinch of salt, 1/2 tbsp. l. sugar and ground cinnamon. Fill everything with hot water and place the Turk on the stove. Be careful with the dosage of cinnamon, as if you overdo it, it will spoil the taste of the drink. Instead of white sugar, you can use brown sugar, it will give a caramel tint to the taste. Or use a sweetener that is not susceptible to heat treatment.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Brew the coffee over low heat. As soon as the foam begins to rise, quickly remove the Turk from the heat. Let the foam settle a little and return to the heat again. Do this 3 times and set the coffee aside.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour the remaining amount of sugar into a deep fireproof container.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour cognac over sugar. Use high-quality, aromatic cognac (not homemade).

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Set it on fire. Be careful not to get burned. This will evaporate the alcohol and reveal its enchanting aroma.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour cognac into a cup and top up with hot Turkish coffee. Serve black coffee with cognac at home in the morning or throughout the day with dark chocolate, cake or other favorite dessert. This drink is also good on its own. Try it - it's very tasty!

The other day I read “Madame Bovary” by Flaubert. In one chapter it was written about how one of the heroes loved to drink coffee and cognac. And the next day I accidentally came across a recipe for coffee with cognac on the website. Coincidences are not accidental, I thought and began to prepare a drink that would make me feel like a lady from the 19th century. I brewed coffee in a coffee maker. I added cinnamon and sugar to the finished coffee. I didn’t really manage to light the cognac; the flame from the match flared up a little, but then went out. Coffee with cognac is a very unusual drink. You seem to be drinking alcohol, but you don’t seem to be. This coffee has an excellent warming effect. I was pleased that this drink does not have a pronounced intoxicating effect. More like mild relaxation. For myself, I would only add half a teaspoon of sugar. Maria, thank you very much for the recipe!

Interesting, I'll try it! My husband always makes coffee, so I’ll give him your recipe. Thank you! By the way, I remembered another recipe:

Officer style coffee. You pour cognac into the coffee, take a sip, add cognac to a full mug, take a sip, add cognac to a full mug, take a sip, top up... and so on as long as you can
