    STEP 1

How to make latte macchiato at home? Prepare the necessary ingredients. If you have coffee beans, you need to grind them in a coffee grinder. If already ground, then measure out 1.5 tsp. Freshly ground coffee usually turns out more aromatic. Milk needs to be richer, from 3.2% and higher. I made two servings of coffee, so I took twice as many ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour ground coffee into a Turk, add cold water and place on low heat. Stir and cook until the coffee begins to boil, but do not boil. Remove the Turk from the heat. If desired, you can bring the drink to the brink of boiling 2-3 more times and remove from heat.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Strain the finished strong coffee through a special filter bag or a fine strainer to cut off the coffee grounds. Pour the coffee back into a clean coffee pot and put it back on the lowest heat. This is necessary to prevent the coffee from getting cold.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Heat the milk to 50-70 degrees. The milk should be hot, but do not bring it to a boil: it should be colder than coffee. I checked the temperature using a cooking thermometer. If you do not have such a thermometer, then simply wait until light steam begins to rise from the milk and remove it from the heat.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Beat the hot milk with a mixer or blender for about 4 minutes until a stable, fluffy foam appears. If you have a French press, you can froth the milk in it by raising and lowering the piston.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Carefully pour the milk with foam into a special glass glass with a handle. Pour hot coffee on top slowly in a thin stream. Before adding it to the finished drink, the coffee must be hotter than the frothed milk, only then, due to the difference in temperature and density, will it rise and take up space between the milk and the milk foam.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top of the finished drink and serve immediately. Bon appetit!

Making a latte macchiato at home was easy. I made coffee in a coffee maker. My milk was 3.5%. I heated it to 70 degrees and beat it with an immersion blender for four minutes. I don’t have a special glass, so I took an ordinary glass mug. The milk apparently did not cool down enough, so the coffee layer probably did not separate very clearly. But the coffee turned out very tasty, with a pleasant creamy taste. The foam turned out airy. So it separated very well above the coffee layer. Thank you very much for the recipe! The coffee turned out great.
