Classic cottage cheese casserole with raisins in the oven

Simple and tasty, for breakfast and not only for children. A classic casserole of cottage cheese with raisins in the oven is not difficult to prepare. This casserole is served in kindergarten. Sour cream makes the structure of the dish more uniform. It turns out especially tasty if you add a little raisins or dried apricots.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a classic cottage cheese casserole with raisins? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this according to the list. Choose cottage cheese that is soft and slightly moist. If necessary, rub it through a sieve to make the structure more uniform.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First of all, pour boiling water over the raisins and let them stand for 5 minutes. During this time they will become softer. Then drain the hot water, rinse the raisins themselves, place them on a towel and soak them from excess moisture.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

To prepare the curd dough, lightly beat the eggs with sugar. There is no need to beat for a long time. It is enough to turn everything into a homogeneous mass.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then stir in soft cottage cheese, sour cream, flour and baking powder. Wash the lemon and remove the zest from it. Add prepared raisins and lemon zest to the dough. Mix all the ingredients together and bring the mass until smooth simply by stirring everything with a whisk.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Any heat-resistant form is suitable for baking. I use a detachable metal one (20-24 cm). Grease the bottom and sides of the pan with a little vegetable oil or line the pan with cooking paper. Place all the curd dough into it. Place the pan in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Be guided by your oven.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Remove the finished casserole from the oven and cool slightly.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Then cut into pieces and serve with a little sour cream. Bon appetit!

Wonderful casserole. I often cook in this classic version and with the addition of, for example, apples. Casserole with fruit turns out more juicy and aromatic.

My lovers of cottage cheese casseroles appreciated this delicious casserole. For me, this is generally my favorite option. I really love it when there are a lot of eggs and sour cream in a cottage cheese casserole. It turns out something like creamy ice cream. I put the cottage cheese with all the ingredients in a blender, and the result was a smooth, airy mass similar to sour cream. I didn’t add raisins, my daughter categorically doesn’t like them, she always picks them out. I didn’t torture the child) I baked it until golden brown. When the casserole came out of the oven, it was very high, but as it cooled, it sank. This is quite normal for casseroles that use baking powder. It’s best to enjoy this casserole after it’s cooled in the refrigerator, like a sundae) I love this consistency, it’s very tender, juicy, and even aromatic. I strongly recommend everyone to cook this miracle! Julia, thanks for the recipe!

I made it according to your recipe, only without the raisins (there weren’t any) and it still turned out very tasty. Thank you very much!!!
