STEP 1
How to make chicken kebab with onions? It’s very simple, first prepare all the necessary products according to the list. For the marinade, you can additionally use your favorite spices (for example, chicken seasoning). For barbecue, instead of chicken fillet, you can also use a whole chicken, cut into portions.
STEP 2
Peel the onions and lightly chop them in a blender to form small pieces, or you can chop the onions with a knife. The main thing is that the pieces do not turn into mush, otherwise they will burn when frying on the grill. To avoid irritating the mucous membranes of your eyes when cutting onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a slice of lemon before slicing.
STEP 3
Rinse the chicken fillet well, pat dry with paper towels, cut into matchbox-sized pieces and place in a marinating bowl.
STEP 4
Add chopped onion, tomato puree and ground pepper to the chicken; do not add salt at this stage, otherwise the kebab runs the risk of being over-salted.
STEP 5
Cover the bowl with kebab with cling film and leave to marinate in a warm place for 3 hours, or put it in the refrigerator for 6 hours. 30 minutes before skewering, salt the chicken.
STEP 6
Prepare skewers with marinated shish kebab for frying on the grill. By this time, the coals should burn well and be “gray.”
STEP 7
Fry the shish kebab on the grill on all sides until golden brown, turning the skewers periodically; the total frying time will take approximately 25-30 minutes. Serve the finished shish kebab hot. Bon appetit!
