Challah classic

A great addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner! . I have always had problems with preparing yeast dough, but in this version even a mixer was not useful, I kneaded everything by hand. And I was simply delighted with the result!

    STEP 1

Take warm water and add yeast and sugar. Mix well. If using dry yeast, set the bowl aside for a while so that it can completely dissolve. If the yeast is wet, then when adding it to water, knead it thoroughly until it forms the smallest lumps.

Repeat the manipulation with the other 3 sausages.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Place the resulting braids on baking paper pre-greased with sunflower oil. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Take 2 egg whites left over from kneading the dough, coat the braids well on all sides and sprinkle with poppy seeds or sesame seeds. Set aside again for about 10 minutes. After time has passed, place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 170-200 degrees. Bake for 20-30 minutes.
