  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make canned peaches for the winter at home? Prepare all the necessary products. Take fruits that are firm and not overripe, so that they hold their shape very well and do not turn into mush. Before use, wash the fruits well, it is advisable to use a special brush and fruit washing agent for this. You will learn all the subtleties of winter preparations by reading the article at the end of the recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the peaches, dry them, remove the pits and cut into medium-sized slices.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the jars well (preferably with soda and salt), sterilize. I put a spoon in each jar and pour boiling water over it, leave it for 10 minutes and then drain the water. But you can also sterilize jars in the microwave, in the oven, or over a pan with steam. An article on this topic will help you choose the appropriate sterilization method. There is a link to it at the end of the recipe. Just boil the lids.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the chopped peaches tightly in a jar.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour boiling water, cover with a lid and leave for 10 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Drain the water, add sugar to it. Based on 1 glass of water, 3 tbsp. Sahara. The syrup should be quite sweet. While the syrup is boiling, you can add some spices to the jar of peaches. Perhaps it will be a vanilla pod, a cinnamon stick, or a star anise. You can also take these same spices in ground form.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Bring the syrup to a boil. Boil for 2-3 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour the syrup into the jar to the very top. Close or roll up the lids, turn the jars over and leave until completely cool. Peaches will be ready to eat in about 10 days. Canned peaches in syrup can be stored perfectly in normal apartment conditions, without requiring a refrigerator.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

You can serve such fruits with ice cream, decorate cakes and other desserts with them. Fruit syrup is useful for soaking biscuits, again for ice cream and various drinks. Bon appetit!

I love peaches! I wanted to preserve this extraordinary summer taste for the winter. I prepared canned peaches for the winter using this recipe. The recipe is incredibly simple. It is important that the peach fruits are dense, elastic, and not spoiled. I took out the pits, cutting the peaches down the middle with a knife and rotating them. I cut the peaches into slices, as the author writes. I filled the jar with peach slices, poured boiling water over it and left it. I drained the water, added granulated sugar and boiled. The syrup was quite sweet, which added extra sweetness to the peaches. I poured boiling syrup over the peaches and rolled them up. By the way, you can dilute this syrup a little and drink it with compote. I don’t use canned peaches; we love to eat them just like that. Peaches in syrup are the most delicious preparation! Everything ingenious is simple! Decent recipe! Thanks to the author!
