Baked bell pepper in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake bell peppers in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Choose peppers that are ripe, fleshy, and plump. Red, orange or yellow types of peppers are best. Green varieties usually have a slightly thinner skin, which will make it difficult to remove during cooking. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
STEP 2
Line a suitable sized baking dish with aluminum foil or baking paper. If you are making a large quantity, it is quite appropriate to take a baking sheet and line it too. Wash the peppers in running water and dry thoroughly with paper towels. Then grease the peppers with one tablespoon of vegetable oil and place them in the mold. You can use any oil at your discretion. You can even take the unrefined one if you like that aroma.
STEP 3
Place the pan in a hot oven at 180 degrees and bake for about 40-50 minutes. The peppers should be cooked and will have some scorch marks on their surface.
STEP 4
Remove the pan from the oven and cover the tops of the peppers with other foil, tucking the edges. Take to a cool place, if available, and leave until completely cool. Or you can put the peppers in a plastic bag, tie it and leave it until it cools completely.
STEP 5
After our peppers have cooled, remove their stems, seeds and peel. If done correctly, it won't take much time or effort. Our baked peppers are made generic, but we'll make a delicious, easy appetizer out of it.
STEP 6
Wash the parsley in running water and dry, chop finely. Peel and chop the garlic through a press or knife. Place parsley, garlic and red wine vinegar in a bowl. Vinegar can be replaced with apple cider vinegar, grape cider vinegar or lemon juice.
STEP 7
Add vegetable oil and salt to the bowl, stir.
STEP 8
Transfer the peppers to a smaller bowl and pour our resulting sauce over them, covering them completely. Cover and place in a cool place for 4 hours to marinate.
STEP 9
After our baked peppers have been marinated, cut them into strips, pour the marinade from the mold and serve.
STEP 10
That's it, our delicious and aromatic appetizer of whole baked bell peppers is ready. When serving, the pepper can be cut into pieces and sprinkled with chopped herbs. Bon appetit!
