Apricot compote from apricots for a 3 liter jar
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to prepare apricot compote from apricots for a 3-liter jar for the winter? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Apricots for compote must be selected that are dense, without damage or rot, but ripe
STEP 2

Wash the jars with soda and sterilize using one of the usual and reliable methods, for example, in the oven. Place the wet jars in a cold oven on a wire rack with the neck on, turn on 150 degrees, keep the jars in the oven for 20 minutes. Also wash the lids with soda, boil and dry.
STEP 3

Fill the jars one-third full with apricots. Boil water in a kettle. Pour boiling water over the apricots in the jars. You need to pour boiling water into the jars in small portions so that the jar does not burst due to a sudden temperature change. Cover the jars with lids and leave for 20 minutes.
STEP 4

Then pour the water from the jars into a saucepan; for this it is better to use a special lid with holes so that the apricots do not fall out of the jar. Pour sugar into a saucepan with water. If desired, the amount of sugar can be increased to be sure that the product will not spoil and will be stored for a long time, and simply dilute the finished compote with boiled cold water before serving. Bring the syrup to a boil, stirring with a spoon until the sugar is completely dissolved.
STEP 5

Pour boiling syrup over apricots in jars up to the shoulders. Immediately roll up the lids of the jars, turn them upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket and leave overnight until completely cooled at room temperature.
STEP 6

Store the jars of compote in a cool pantry until winter. Bon appetit!
