Wheat mash without yeast

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make mash with wheat without yeast and sugar? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You will need unprocessed wheat; it is best to buy this, for example, in pet stores. I buy wheat as chicken feed - it's great for mash.
STEP 2

Do not wash wheat, as the surface of the grain contains many bacteria that cause fermentation. It is enough to sort out the grains from the garbage.
STEP 3

Place the grains in a fermentation container and add a little water.
STEP 4

Leave the soaked wheat for a couple of days so that the grains “hatch” a little - they begin to germinate.
STEP 5

Add sugar, pour in the remaining water.
STEP 6

Wrap the neck of the container with gauze and place in a warm place for 2 days. In a couple of days, the starter for making mash will be ready.
STEP 7

After two days, put a disposable glove on top and place it in a warm place to ferment again.
STEP 8

When the glove inflates, it will mean that the fermentation process has begun. It can last from 7 to 14 days.
STEP 9

Once fermentation is complete, the glove will deflate again. You can also check the readiness of the mash using a burning match: if the match burns and does not go out over the neck of the jar, then the mash is ready for distillation.
STEP 10

Strain the mash using a sieve or gauze.
STEP 11

This is what mash looks like.
STEP 12

Braga is ready. You can start distilling.
