Tahini paste Homemade Tahini

Wonderful pasta will complement the taste of oriental dishes. Good with meat! Very tasty, with a characteristic aroma and taste of sesame, healthy, rich in vitamins and microelements necessary for health. Tahini (tahini, tahini) is a paste made from sesame seeds with the addition of vegetable oil in a basic recipe. The homeland of pasta is the countries of the Middle East. It is not sold everywhere, and it is sometimes difficult or even almost impossible to find in some regions. So let's make our own tahini paste. Fortunately, there are many recipes and preparing it is no more difficult than any other sauce. This recipe is a classic tahini recipe, no herbs or spices. Can be used for making sauces and sweets. If you add spices and seasonings, you will get a new taste of tahini. This innovation was very enthusiastically received at my house! We really enjoyed pairing this dish with meat. We also added tahini paste along with seasonings to the Babaganoush dish, which we really liked.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Ingredients for preparing Tahini paste. Before buying, try sesame seeds, sometimes they taste bitter. This happens when the seeds are not fresh and are stored for a long time. Such seeds are not suitable, as they will hopelessly spoil the taste of the paste.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place sesame seeds in a dry frying pan.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Stirring vigorously, fry until golden brown. But not pronounced, but only slightly. You can brown sesame seeds in the oven, stirring occasionally.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour the toasted sesame seeds into a container and cool slightly.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the toasted seeds into a blender with a bowl. Grind to the consistency shown in the photo.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Gradually adding oil, grind the sesame seeds until a homogeneous paste is obtained. The paste should have the consistency of thick sour cream. If 2 tablespoons of oil is not enough, add more, but in small portions. That's all! Tahini paste is ready. The finished paste can be stored in the refrigerator in a tightly closed jar for about two months.

And I haven’t met, but we discovered it quite recently and are very pleased. With seasonings it is delicious with meat! Here is a basic classic recipe, so to speak, the basis for hot sauces, as well as for sweet dishes. It’s very tasty mixed with condensed milk, it turns out something like a milk-nut cream. And they say it’s great with honey!
