Combine flour with baking powder, sift and knead into a soft, elastic dough that slightly sticks to your hands. Cover the dough with cling film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preparing the cream. To do this, beat the sour cream with a glass of sugar with a mixer until the sugar is completely dissolved.

    Place the cream in the refrigerator. We take the dough out of the refrigerator, form the dough into balls with a diameter of 2 cm and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. We send the balls to bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes.

    During baking, the balls should grow in width and height and turn from balls into cakes - don’t be alarmed, this is how it should be. Take the finished shortcakes out of the oven and let them cool. Take the cream out of the refrigerator and form the cake. We take a flat dish, dip each cake in sour cream and put it on the dish, put it in a heap. Spread the remaining sour cream on top of the cake and decorate with coconut flakes.

    Place the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours so that it soaks and becomes homogeneous. Cut the finished cake into portions and serve. The cake is universal and very quick to prepare. After all, you no longer need to fuss with baking cakes one piece at a time. You bake all the balls at once, and then simply coat them and leave them to harden. Saving time is obvious.
