Rose jam in sugar

Extraordinary jam for particularly discerning housewives! If you have read the story “Chalykushu” by Reshad Nuri Guntekin, then, of course, you remember that one of the heroine’s nicknames is Gyulbesheker. Translated, it means “jam made from rose petals.” I can’t raise my hand to call this delicacy of angels the rude word “food”. You can admire pink jam, you can write poems about it, and you can eat it. The culinary recipe is also poetic. The jam requires roses picked early in the morning, when their petals are still covered with dew. We know that in the morning new buds are opening, which means that we will collect only the freshest roses. We need red or pink flowers. Or both.

Wonderful. I take it, it’s just morning and the roses have opened. Petals in a vase and take a photo. I'll post a photo today!

I really love rose jam! I prepare for the winter - a bag of dried petals, several jars of simply ground petals with sugar. a couple of jars of jam. I really like adding them to dishes: the tea turns out great, cookies, fingers, pies, cakes, pancakes, muffins, etc. Gives the dish a pleasant aroma and taste.
