But I prefer the taste of the home-brewed version of the regular one. I boil a closed can of plain condensed milk in boiling water for 2 hours. And I also cool it closed. Corn sticks are very light and with low weight there are a lot of them.

    Cut the corn sticks into pieces, approximately 15 cm. I cut each stick into 3 parts.

    Chop the walnuts with a knife and fry in a dry frying pan until a characteristic pleasant aroma appears. Then transfer them to a plate to prevent them from burning in the cooling pan.

I've been paying attention to this easy-to-make cake for a long time. And on June 1, the children asked to make not an ordinary cake, but from chocolate balls, they saw one somewhere on the Internet. I used a quick recipe for a cake made from corn sticks with condensed milk as a basis. In principle, these are the same sticks, only in the form of balls and chocolate on top. But they are a little harder. On the author’s advice, I decided to cook the condensed milk myself) True, I cooked it for three hours, I remember how my mother did this. It seemed like the condensed milk was of good quality, but it didn’t turn out very thick, more like thick caramel. I mixed it with soft butter with a whisk and poured it into the balls. In total, it took me about 350-400 g of balls for this sweet caramel mass. I formed it in a sliding ring, did not cover it with film, and the cake came out of the mold perfectly. It froze overnight in the refrigerator. The cake holds its shape well, the balls stick together. They also became softer. The sweetness is just excellent, the balls themselves were not very sweet. If you make this cake from yellow sticks, I advise you to use it without sugar sprinkles, otherwise it can be very cloying. But this is individual, of course, some people like it sweeter) Overall, we liked the cake, the children were especially happy. Moderately sweet, very pleasant caramel taste.
