STEP 1
How to make creamed potatoes in the oven? The first step is to choose potatoes that are approximately the same size. Rinse the prepared potatoes thoroughly to remove dirt and peel them using a vegetable peeler. If you take young potatoes, it is enough to rub them with a stiff brush, since a dense skin has not yet formed on them. Rinse the peeled potatoes in water.
STEP 2
Grease the bottom and sides of a heat-resistant baking dish with vegetable oil. Cut half of the prepared potatoes into circles and place in a greased dish. Sprinkle a little salt over the entire surface.
STEP 3
Grate the cheese on a medium grater and sprinkle half of the total mass over the potatoes.
STEP 4
Then, in the same way, cut the remaining potatoes into circles and place them in the mold as well. Distribute it evenly over the entire surface. Sprinkle the potatoes with a small amount of salt and spices to taste. There is no need to add a lot of spices, as they will interrupt the natural taste of the cream.
STEP 5
Pour cream over potatoes. Try to water the potatoes one at a time so that each slice is covered with cream.
STEP 6
Sprinkle the top generously with grated cheese. Place the pan with potatoes in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40 minutes. During this time, the potatoes will be completely cooked and soaked in cream. The cheese on top will melt and become golden brown.
STEP 7
Remove the finished potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly until the first heat comes out.
STEP 8
