Irisha, your halva is very appetizing. The picture shows something between halva and sherbet! mmm...Tell me, is it possible to create such a tasty treat from walnuts or will it not work? Otherwise the walnuts would need to be disposed of somewhere))

kontaty, I’m very glad that you liked the recipe. I won’t say anything about walnuts in this recipe, since I haven’t tried cooking with them, but on the Internet I found this very interesting version of halva with these nuts: Walnuts 800 g Ghee butter 200 g Sugar 450 g Water 450 g Wheat flour 50 g Instructions 1. Pass the toasted walnuts through a meat grinder. Melt the butter in a kettle, add flour, stir with a wooden spatula, and fry until golden brown. Reduce heat and, stirring, add nuts, fry for one minute.2. Without removing from the stove, pour hot sugar syrup into the cauldron, stir until a homogeneous thick mass.3. Place the hot halva on the table and brush with oil. Then you need to form a round or square layer 2.5–3 cm thick. When the layer has cooled a little, cut it into diamonds. Can be served with honey. I haven’t tried cooking it because I don’t have walnuts in stock, but it might suit you

Irisha, I’m so glad I found this recipe. My mother prepared halva. And I don't know how. It is very convenient to have such halva: you can cut a piece and eat it as candy for tea or coffee. The nut season has already started, one of these days I will buy and cook it.
