  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cinnamon oranges? Prepare your food. “Unsuccessful” oranges are perfect for this dessert - sour, small, slightly wilted. For this type of dessert, I prefer to use cane sugar - it gives the dish a pronounced caramel taste. But you take any. You can change the amount of cinnamon at your discretion.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the oranges thoroughly under running water, preferably with soda - fruits are usually treated with wax so that they do not spoil longer. Although we don’t need the peel, when cutting, some of the substance may get on the product. Now cut the orange. I preferred cutting into thin slices, but you can make them larger. Or you can first peel the orange and then cut it into slices. But it's easier to cut with the peel.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Now peel each segment (if you haven't peeled the orange beforehand). Do this over a plate; we will need all the juice that drips from the orange.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel all the orange slices in this way. Then you can cut them into halves or quarters, which will make them easier to eat. I left them whole. Place the slices on a plate in a single layer.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Squeeze the juice out of the lemon, remove the seeds and measure out 2 tablespoons of juice. Now we need to get orange juice. Use the juice that was released when peeling the slices. And also squeeze it out of the ugly lobes and tops. We need the same amount of orange juice as lemon juice - 2 tablespoons.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix sugar, cinnamon and both types of juice in a separate bowl. Mix well and let sit for a while until the sugar crystals completely dissolve.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour the mixture over the orange slices. Using a spoon, spread the juice well over all the pieces. Let the dessert sit for a while so that the orange absorbs all the aromas, and serve it to the table.

I'm so glad I found this recipe! I really love fruit desserts) And this recipe is so simple that even a child can do it. I took one orange and cooked it for myself) The fruit was good, seedless, with thin membranes and sweet. At first I thought that lemon juice would add excess acidity, but no, everything is balanced. I will never buy brown sugar, it would be tastier with it. I took regular white and mixed it with cinnamon and lemon and orange juices. The dressing tastes pleasant, sweet and sour. I soaked the orange slices and left them for twenty minutes. This is simply great! I would never have thought that orange could be so delicious! No acidity is felt, although this probably still depends on the taste of the orange itself. Cinnamon also goes well with citrus fruits. The dessert is mega tasty, aromatic, fresh. Thank you very much for the recipe! I'll cook it again and try it with tangerine and grapefruit.

A great dish for the winter season! This way you can “fix” even sour fruit. Cook with pleasure!
