Lemon juice
Has a rich lemon flavor. Vitamins are preserved. Moderately sweet, with a bright citrus aroma and delicate color, this refreshing, tonic drink will appeal to lovers of healthy and rich dishes. On hot summer days, such a drink will help you freshen up, and in winter, it will nourish the body with useful vitamins and elements. Fruit juice replenishes the supply of vitamins in the body, relieves fatigue and improves mood. Citrus contains many vitamins and nutrients.
Step-by-step preparation
Cooking time: 20 mins
STEP 1
Peel the lemon (preferably only the zest (less white pulp), otherwise the drink will be bitter). Set the zest aside (do not throw it away; you will need it).
STEP 2
Place a saucepan with water and sugar on the fire. Bring to a boil.
STEP 3
While the water is boiling, take a peeled lemon and squeeze out the juice (I cut the lemon in half, insert a fork into the pulp and squeeze, gradually turning it around the fork).
STEP 4
When the water starts to boil, add the zest (you can also add mint for flavor). Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes. and remove from heat. Leave to brew (I usually do it in the evening and leave it overnight).
STEP 5
When cool, strain, add lemon juice and put in the refrigerator.
