  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make homemade cocoa candies? To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. It is advisable to take high-quality dry cocoa powder, for example, Golden Label. Low-quality cocoa may not completely dissolve and may crunch unpleasantly on the teeth. You can use cream of any fat content. I have 20% You can replace some of the butter with coconut oil.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and walnuts in a blender bowl. You can take any set of nuts and seeds. Grind them to fine crumbs. If you want to grind everything even more, you can grind the flax and pumpkin seeds separately in a coffee grinder.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour 50 g of cocoa and sugar into a saucepan.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add cream and stir. Place the saucepan over medium heat and, stirring constantly, bring the cream and cocoa to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add the butter to the hot chocolate mixture and stir until completely melted. The mass will liquefy slightly.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add chopped walnuts, flax and pumpkin seeds to the chocolate mixture.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Mix everything thoroughly until smooth. The mass will thicken greatly and become viscous. Cool the mixture completely. In winter I take the stewpan out to the balcony, and in summer I put it in the refrigerator. The colder the mass, the less it sticks to your hands. If the mass remains liquid even after cooling, add a little more mixture of crushed pumpkin seeds, flax and walnuts.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Using your hands, form the resulting chocolate mixture into even round balls, approximately the size of a walnut or slightly smaller. Roll them in the remaining cocoa powder (10 g).

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the resulting candies in the refrigerator for 2 hours to completely harden. Bon appetit!

When I saw a recipe for homemade cocoa candies in my feed, I immediately wanted to make them. The process is familiar and understandable; I make chocolate sausage in much the same way). I didn’t have pumpkin seeds, so I replaced them with sunflower seeds. I measured out 50 g of filling and ground it in a blender. I lightly fried the walnuts and seeds in a dry frying pan to enhance the aroma and taste. Here I note that the flax seeds were ground a little coarsely, the children did not like it). Next time I will grind them in a coffee grinder. I mixed this mixture with chocolate syrup. It turned out a little liquid, but after cooling the mass thickened really well. The balls stuck together easily! After rolling the candies in cocoa, I cooled them in the refrigerator. They turned out to be quite hard and can be easily cut with a knife, just like store-bought ones). The taste is dominated by chocolate! They are not very sweet, which is also good. My husband said it looked like soft grilled meat. I think you can add a drop of cognac for flavor) Delicious candies! Thank you!
