  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to freeze raspberries for the winter? For this we only need the raspberries themselves. No additions to it are required. We will freeze raspberries as whole berries. Choose the freshest, strongest and cleanest berries without stems. Remove sticks and leaves, if any. The ideal option would be raspberries straight into the bush. Raspberries are delicate and do not last long. With this method of freezing, raspberries cannot be washed. The berries will be saturated with moisture and spread after defrosting.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To freeze, take a tray and line it with a paper towel. Arrange selected raspberries. If juice appears anywhere, it will immediately be absorbed into the paper. Otherwise, the juice will freeze when frozen and the berries will have to be torn off the tray. This will damage her. Place the berries loosely on the tray so that they do not touch or lie on top of each other. Place the tray in the freezer for several hours. It's best to leave it overnight.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Due to the fact that the raspberries were initially strong and dry, they do not stick together when frozen and keep their shape. Frozen berries move freely around the tray. Now they can be packaged.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

I store frozen berries in plastic containers. But you can also take packages. But in packages, years can break. Place the frozen berries in the prepared container.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Close the lids and put them in the freezer for storage. In this form, the berries are perfectly stored for a long time. They can be used to prepare compotes, pies, or add to porridge or desserts. For information on how to defrost correctly, see the article at the end of the recipe. Enjoy your winter treat!

When I was looking for a recipe for raspberry jam on the website, I accidentally saw a wonderful recipe for frozen raspberries for the winter. I have frozen this berry before, but I always ended up with a monolithic piece) It turns out that you need to first freeze individual berries, and then put them in bags. We just purchased a new freezer, and in it I found a tray for freezing berries. So I used it) I put the raspberries in overnight, and in the morning I packed the berries into bags for freezing. Such whole berries with a thin coating of frost are good to use for decorating baked goods and porridge; they look beautiful.

The most convenient, fastest and healthiest way to prepare berries, in my opinion. Frozen raspberries for the winter are an invaluable contribution to health. Berries that have not been subjected to heat treatment retain all their vitamins. For example, jam is tasty, but not so healthy. Therefore, frozen berries are always a priority. For freezing, you should choose ripe fruits, without signs of spoilage or any defects. In the same way as described in the recipe, you can freeze other berries. The main thing is to follow all the rules in order to get a beautiful workpiece at the end.

I just picked raspberries from the forest, but they were all mush. I wanted to freeze it because I don’t eat sugar and it was too wet to dry. I found the recipe in time)) Thank you for the find. I drained the juice and also froze it in a yogurt bottle
