How to fry bananas in a frying pan? Prepare your food. Take one banana per serving. Choose ripe but firm fruits. Overripe ones can become very soft when fried. Butter, even if there is only a little of it, choose the best quality, without vegetable additives, the taste of caramel will depend on its taste. I used brown sugar, but you can use regular white sugar. Add cinnamon as desired.

Wash the bananas well, as their skin is very dirty, and when peeling, dirt can get into the flesh. Then dry them with a towel. Peel the bananas and then slice. The cutting method can be any - like mine, halves, quarters, wheels, or whatever you like.

Add sugar and cinnamon to butter. Stir and leave the mixture on the fire until the sugar dissolves. Do not leave the stove, the oil may start to burn, so you need to stir the caramel and keep the heat low.

Once the caramel boils, add the sliced bananas. Fry them on both sides until golden.

  6. STEP 6

Serve fried plantains any way you like - hot, warm or cold. When serving, pour the resulting caramel over them. You can add chopped nuts and berries to them; it will be very tasty to serve ice cream with hot bananas. Fried bananas are also a good addition to other dishes - porridges, puddings, desserts. I saw a recipe for fried bananas on my feed and immediately wanted to try making them. I generally like different fruits in caramel: apples, pears, pineapple. But I haven’t tried bananas yet. It turned out to be very easy to prepare them. I used good quality butter and white sugar. I cut the bananas in half lengthwise; they were small, so I didn’t chop them. When fried, they became very tender and difficult to turn over. I used two spatulas at once and everything worked out. Served with ice cream. It is especially delicious to eat warm bananas with slightly melted ice cream. There is one observation. For my taste the dish is very sweet. I would use less sugar and take bananas that are not quite ripe. Mine were almost overripe and overly sweet on their own. It would also be nice to sprinkle with lemon juice when frying. That's what I'll do next time. Overall the recipe is wonderful. You can add fried banana pieces as a topping to ice cream or as a filling in buns. At the same time, the sweetness of the bananas will be balanced) The taste of the resulting bananas in caramel is pleasant, the crust is slightly crunchy. The aroma is incredibly strong and attractive. By the way, after cooling, the slices became more elastic and easily removed from the pan. Thanks to the author for the recipe and new taste sensations)
