Forshmak with herring

Forshmak with a piece of spiced bread is a dizzying combination! In my childhood, not a single holiday table was complete without this dish from Jewish cuisine. But now for some reason it has been forgotten and I have never seen it on the menu in restaurants. But in vain! Forshmak can be classified as both vegetarian food and gourmet food. The recipe is very simple. This is how my grandmother prepared herring pate, this is how I cook it too.
