    Immediately turn on the oven to preheat, set the temperature to 200°C. The entire preparation process will take very little time; the oven will have time to warm up. Take a baking dish of suitable size. Place dumplings in it. Depending on their number and the size of the mold, make one or more rows.

    Fill the dumplings with milk until it reaches about halfway. I used less milk than the recipe indicated because the dumplings were in one row.

    Brush the top of the dumplings with mayonnaise. Salt and pepper them.

    Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Any cheese is suitable for this dish - hard, semi-hard, soft, such as mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.

    Cover the top of the pan with a piece of foil. Place the dish to bake in a preheated oven. After 20 minutes, take it out, but do not turn off the heat. Remove the foil and return the pan to the oven.

    Bake the dumplings for another 10-15 minutes, the liquid should almost all evaporate and a golden brown crust should form on top. Remove the pan from the oven.

I was attracted by the recipe for dumplings baked in the oven with mayonnaise and milk. This is much more interesting than just boiling dumplings. I had 700 g of small dumplings. I chose a rectangular glass shape. I greased it with vegetable oil, laid out the dumplings and filled it with 400 ml of milk. I think it depends more on the width of the form. Spread with mayonnaise, sprinkle with cheese and bake for 40 minutes. Then 20 minutes without foil. I extended the baking time because the milk was not completely absorbed. At the end of baking, the milk had practically evaporated and the top had browned. It turned out to be a delicious casserole! The dough became tender, the meat filling was cooked well. Delicious cheese crust on top). This is a very easy way to prepare a hearty lunch using your favorite dumplings.

Just an amazing culinary recipe - baked dumplings with mayonnaise in the oven, which, once I tried it, I immediately considered it one of my favorites (in general I love dumplings, and these turned out to be fabulously tasty). I immediately draw your attention to the wonderful fact that this food, when it cools, perhaps becomes even tastier. It is good served with broth (separately), sour cream, and vinegar (whoever likes it). As an appetizer for the same vodka, it’s also very good. I recommend!

Baked dumplings with mayonnaise in the oven are suitable for lunch or dinner, as the dish is very filling, fatty and contains a lot of calories. Of course, this dish will be even tastier if you make your own homemade dumplings, but with a good quality semi-finished product it turns out delicious. This dish would be ideally served with fresh vegetables, such as cucumber or cherry tomatoes.

To my surprise, my family liked these dumplings, baked in the oven with mayonnaise and milk, from the very first try. I thought it would be different, after all, the dish is not entirely traditional, or something.
