Compote of dried apricots

STEP 1

How to cook compote from dried apricots? Prepare your food. Pour boiling water over dried apricots for 1-2 minutes. Then drain the water and wash it in running water. Thanks to this, the dried apricots will become cleaner and excess dirt will be washed off, which is important, since in most cases, dried apricots are sold open.
STEP 2

Place the washed dried apricots in a saucepan in which the compote will be cooked.
STEP 3

Pour the required amount of water into the pan and place on fire. Bring the compote to a boil, simmer for 3-5 minutes. Then remove from heat, cover and let it sit for 20 minutes.
STEP 4

Then strain the compote and add a little sugar to taste. If desired, sugar can be replaced with honey or a sweetener that is not susceptible to heat treatment.
STEP 5

Pour the compote into a decanter and cool. Pour into glasses and help yourself. Bon appetit!
