Chocolate covered bananas

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make chocolate covered bananas? Prepare ingredients for cooking. I took dark chocolate, but any chocolate will do - both bitter and milk. Take high-quality chocolate; the taste of the entire dish depends on its taste. One bar (and they are now mostly 90 grams) was enough for two large bananas, but there was some glaze left. You don’t have to add milk or cream; it will make the chocolate more liquid and easier to spread on the banana.
STEP 2
Peel the bananas and cut into approximately equal pieces. I have large fruits, I cut them into three parts. If the bananas are small, then two pieces will be enough.
STEP 3
Place banana slices on wooden sticks. These could be ice cream sticks, canapé skewers or wooden skewers. But keep in mind that banana is a rather heavy fruit, and sticks that are too thin may not support its weight and break.
STEP 4
Chop the nuts into small pieces. I took hazelnuts, but absolutely any kind will do - walnuts, peanuts, almonds, cashews. For a brighter taste, you can lightly fry the nuts in a frying pan.
STEP 5
Melt the chocolate. To do this, take a bowl and put chocolate in it, broken into pieces. Pour in the milk. Boil water in a saucepan. Place the bowl of chocolate over a pan of simmering water. This is called a water bath. Please note that the pan and bowl must be the right size and the water level must be below the bottom of the bowl. In a water bath, the chocolate will melt quickly and correctly.
STEP 6
The chocolate, from the heat of the steam of boiling water in a pan, will very soon begin to melt. Using a spatula, mix it with milk until smooth - this creates chocolate glaze. If it is too thick, add a little more milk. Remove the finished glaze from the bath and cool slightly.
STEP 7
Take a banana placed on a stick and spread chocolate glaze on all sides.
STEP 8
Sprinkle the chocolate covered banana with nuts or sprinkles as desired.
STEP 9
Carefully turn the glazed banana down with a stick and secure it to something until it dries. I took a bowl from the steamer. You can stick the stick into something soft. If the sticks are long, then just put the bananas in a glass. When the glaze is dry, transfer the bananas to a plate and put them in the refrigerator. There the chocolate will harden and the bananas will be easier to eat.

Bon appetit!
