Chicken in a cauldron with vegetables on a fire
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make chicken with vegetables over a fire in a cauldron? Prepare all the products indicated in the recipe. Pluck the chicken, gut it, and singe it to remove any remaining feathers. Wash the carcass thoroughly and dry with paper towels. Cut the chicken into small portions. If you have a frozen product, remove it from the freezer in advance and defrost it. Instead of a whole carcass, you can use individual parts of the bird.
STEP 2
Preheat the cauldron. Pour in vegetable oil. Using a slotted spoon, pour boiling oil over the edges of the cauldron. Send the chicken to fry. Stirring, cook over high heat until golden brown.
STEP 3
Pour in a small amount of water so that it lightly covers the meat. Cover the cauldron with a lid and simmer the chicken for about 20-30 minutes.
STEP 4
Meanwhile, take care of your vegetables.
STEP 5
Peel the potatoes, garlic and onions. Cut the bell peppers in half and remove the seeds and core. Rinse all vegetables in clean water and dry. By the way, if you use peppers of different colors, your dish will turn out very colorful and appetizing.
STEP 6
Cut the potatoes into slices, onions and bell peppers into half rings. Leave small garlic cloves as they are, and quarter large ones.
STEP 7
Add onions, garlic and bell peppers to the cauldron. Fry for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
STEP 8
Cut the tomatoes into cubes. If desired, peel the tomatoes in advance.
STEP 9
Add potatoes and tomatoes to the cauldron. Salt to taste, add your favorite spices. Pour in the required amount of water, but keep in mind that the tomatoes will give juice.
STEP 10
Cover the cauldron with a lid, turn the heat under the cauldron to moderate (remove a few logs if necessary) and cook the chicken and potatoes for about 30 minutes, until all the ingredients are fully cooked.
STEP 11
At the end of cooking, add finely chopped greens to the cauldron. Leave the cauldron uncovered on the smoldering coals for 10-15 minutes so that your dish is saturated with the aromas of the fire.
STEP 12
Done, ready to serve!
