How to make buttercream frosting? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. To make the creamy mass tender, you must use cream with a fat content of at least 20%. Vanilla sugar can be replaced with extract, essence, vanilla bean or vanillin. How to do this correctly, read the link at the end of the recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

The ratio of cream and granulated sugar should be 1:1, in this case 1 cup of cream and 1 cup of sugar. Pour the cream into a saucepan and add sugar. Place the saucepan on the fire. Bring the cream to a boil, then reduce the heat and, stirring constantly, cook for 15-20 minutes until thickened.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

When the butter thickens, add the butter.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Add vanilla sugar.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Stir the frosting thoroughly with quick movements until the butter is completely dissolved. Immediately remove the saucepan from the heat. The glaze is ready. You can use it immediately while it is hot. You can also cool the glaze a little and only then apply it to the confectionery or butter product. From this amount of ingredients you get a small jar of glaze. There is enough for six large buns. Bon appetit!

I've never made or even tried buttercream frosting. But the other day I baked a cupcake in the microwave and wanted to decorate and enrich it with something. There was no point in making a large amount of glaze, so I used the site’s calculator to reduce the number of servings and cook the glaze in the same microwave. Cooked three times for 10 seconds. After each time I stirred, achieving a thick consistency. Then I added a piece of butter and quickly stirred the mass. I made the glaze with 20% cream, which is probably why it turned out slightly transparent. The consistency of my glaze is like a thick, smooth gel. It tastes sweet, with a bright creamy aftertaste. I liked the glaze. Now I’ll try to cook a larger portion and decorate a large cupcake with it.
