Beef on fire in a cauldron, Chinese style
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to cook beef over a fire in a cauldron? Which part of the mascara is best to use? For the recipe, take fresh beef pulp. A sirloin without veins or an entrecote would work well. Cut out the veins and film from the meat, if any. Cut the pulp with a thin sharp knife into small pieces of small thickness.
STEP 2
To make it more convenient to cut the meat, put it in the freezer for a while so that the fillet is slightly frozen, and then easily cut the beef into equal small pieces.
STEP 3
Prepare the rest of the ingredients in the same way. I used onions, bell peppers and garlic. If you wish, you can take hot capsicum (our dish was designed for children, so this time we did without it).
STEP 4
Peel the onion and garlic. Rinse them and the peppers in clean water. Cut the peppers into two parts and remove the seeds and stems. I used several pieces of very small onions in the recipe for the beauty of serving the finished dish.
STEP 5
Light a fire and set the cauldron to heat up.
STEP 6
At this time, chop the vegetables. Cut the pepper into thin strips and the onion into half rings.
STEP 7
Prepare the dressing. Mix soy sauce, starch, salt and sugar.
STEP 8
Pour vegetable oil into a cauldron and heat it. Rub the edges of the cauldron with oil so that during further frying, pieces of meat do not stick to the walls of the dish. Keep the fire under the cauldron at maximum.
STEP 9
Place the meat in a cauldron and cook it, stirring constantly, until golden sides appear on each piece (10 to 15 minutes).
STEP 10
Next, make a fire under the cauldron slightly lower than medium and fry the meat until cooked, stirring occasionally. Since the pieces are small, they will cook quickly (it took me about 15 minutes).
STEP 11
Add wood to the fire and make the fire strong. Place peppers, onions and garlic in a cauldron.
STEP 12
Stirring, fry everything together for about 5-10 minutes.
STEP 13
Pour the sauce into the cauldron, stirring the dish vigorously so that the sauce is evenly distributed over all the pieces.
STEP 14
Cook until the sauce thickens, this will take only a short time. The beef is ready, ready to serve!
STEP 15
When serving, invite everyone to sprinkle the meat with finely chopped green onions or other herbs.
