Banitsa is a Bulgarian layer cake made from unleavened dough with filling. The filling is made in different ways. Of course, most often from feta cheese or cottage cheese. But they can also be used with meat, spinach, leeks, and cabbage. Sweet banitsa is also delicious: filled with ground and crushed nuts. But I still prefer pie with cottage cheese. He's impressive.

I remembered an incident, about 16 years ago, Bulgarians worked for us, and so they made these same bannitsa with cheese, but how delicious it is, they were shaped like a bow with a cut in front and the cheese was visible, it’s good that you, Valeria, raised this topic, the dough is really very tasty, I’ll have to make it myself, thanks to everyone for the good advice.
