Yogurt salad with yogurt
Yogurt, moreover, we are talking about a natural product, without sweeteners and chemical additives (preferably), is used in salads as a regular dressing or sauce. And to turn it into this very gas station, you don’t need to do anything first. It’s enough to throw away the boring mayonnaise and buy a replacement for it in the store. It’s better to buy thick, unsweetened yogurt without berries and fruits (unless you’re planning on making a fruit dessert, of course).
You can prepare a salad with yogurt according to any recipe that includes mayonnaise. We simply replace one product with another - and voila. It is advisable to do this just before serving the dish. This way we prevent the risk of products “floating”. It is also advisable to eat the dish on the day of preparation and do not store it in the refrigerator.
The fresh, delicate taste of yogurt in salads goes well with many foods. But it’s best with fresh vegetables and fruits that are not subject to heat treatment. These can be tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage, peppers, celery, any greens, radishes and other seasonal vegetables. Canned peas, corn, champignons, pickled zucchini, and so on also sound good in this salad.
It’s good to add spices like salt, pepper, vinegar, and dried herbs to yogurt for salad. So we turn it into a filling, and the salad forms an appetizing soup, which is very tasty to soak up with a piece of bread.
