Stewed cabbage with potatoes and carrots

This cabbage is good both as a side dish and as a main dish. The simpler the food, the healthier it is. I like making this one because it doesn't take much time to prepare. For example, I really love stewed cabbage with potatoes. It prepares quickly and is well suited for those who, for example, are fasting. Of course, this dish can also be made with meat. This is all for everyone.

Tatiana! Thank you for a very simple and healthy recipe. The dish is hearty and tasty. I have already prepared it using your recipe more than once. It’s hard to find a person who doesn’t love potatoes, and even deliciously cooked. And carrots are present in the recipe, which is important for the body - after all, carotene. I will cook this dish again, I really like it.

Thanks for the recipe! At the end I added 1 bay leaf and cumin to everything else. Cumin goes very well with cabbage! Thank you for a simple and healthy dinner!

FOR THOSE WHO ARE LOSSING WEIGHT, I do it without oil, only water!!! I extinguish everything only in water. First, I simmer the onions and carrots with water (ONLY PURIFYED WATER), then simmer the cabbage in a frying pan without oil or water, just in a dry frying pan, put it in the onions and carrots, then simmer the potatoes in the frying pan in water, when they are half-boiled, pour them into the cabbage with onions and carrots. If desired, you can add meat (only chicken, pre-cooked, not fried), you can also add tomato paste or tomatoes. Also, when I have it, I add beans, corn, peppers, green peas, in general, anything, as long as it’s not high in calories...
