STEP 1
How to make sour cream sauce - gravy simply and tasty? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can use sour cream of any fat content. I have 20% sour cream. The higher the fat content of the sour cream, the creamier the taste of the finished sauce will be.
STEP 2
Heat a small frying pan until hot and sift the flour into it. Turn the heat down. In a dry frying pan, fry the flour, stirring until it becomes slightly creamy. Then cool the flour so that it is not so hot.
STEP 3
Pour some hot water into the pan and mix it with the flour. Lumps form from the flour. Rub them with a spatula until they disappear.
STEP 4
Then pour in the remaining water and, stirring, bring the sauce to a boil. Boil it over low heat for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 5
Now add sour cream to the sauce. Stir it until smooth. Salt the sauce to taste. Depending on the purpose of using the finished sauce, you can add spices - ground pepper, paprika or dried herbs. Slowly bring the sour cream sauce to a boil.
STEP 6
The added flour thickens the gravy. If you like a more liquid version, you can add a little more water. To make the gravy more homogeneous, you can pass the sauce through a sieve or punch it with an immersion blender.
STEP 7
Ready-made gravy can be used to complement any meat dishes or simply pour it over any side dish. Bon appetit!
