    Heat a small frying pan until hot and sift the flour into it. Turn the heat down. In a dry frying pan, fry the flour, stirring until it becomes slightly creamy. Then cool the flour so that it is not so hot.

    Pour some hot water into the pan and mix it with the flour. Lumps form from the flour. Rub them with a spatula until they disappear.

I saw a recipe for sour cream sauce and gravy that was simple and delicious and thought that I had never cooked anything like this before. Need to try). I did everything strictly following the steps and description. Fry the flour until creamy and has a pleasant nutty smell. The flour must be stirred all the time, otherwise it can quickly burn. Then she let it cool and filled it with water. Otherwise, the water will boil the flour and the lumps will no longer be broken up. I easily rubbed out the same lumps with a silicone spatula. Next, I heated it very slowly, resulting in a smooth, homogeneous mass. Removed the pan from the heat again, cooled a little and added fresh sour cream 20%. I also added salt and pepper from the grinder and added a pinch of curry. Mixed everything again and warmed it up. A very interesting and entertaining process). My gravy turned out wonderful! It is tender, smooth, thick! It did not curl up and separated even after cooling. I served it with macaroni and cheese. The sauce gently envelops each pasta). You can’t taste the flour, there is a slight sour creamy sourness, but the spices compensate for everything. The sauce is delicious, we liked it. Thanks to the author for the recipe!
