Pumpkin latte
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a pumpkin latte? Prepare your food. To prepare it you will need pumpkin puree. In order not to make it yourself, you can take a ready-made one, they sell it in baby food departments. But I made the puree myself. It's quick and easy.
STEP 2
Wash the pumpkin and cut off a small piece. You will need a small amount of puree, so one piece is enough. Remove the skin from the pumpkin. Cut into cubes. Next, you can use one of the methods for preparing puree - boil in water, steam or bake.
STEP 3
I baked the pumpkin in the oven. To do this, wrap the pumpkin pieces in foil and place in the pan.
STEP 4
Bake the pumpkin for 45 minutes at 190°C.
STEP 5
Grind the finished pumpkin - punch it with a blender, rub it through a sieve, or simply mash it with a fork.
STEP 6
Take a saucepan and pour 300 ml of milk into it. Add two tablespoons of pumpkin puree, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Stir.
STEP 7
Place a saucepan with milk on low heat. Bring it to a boil, turn the heat to low and cook for 3-4 minutes. During this time, the spices will give all their flavor to the milk.
STEP 8
Brew coffee any way you like. You can use a Turk, or any type of coffee maker, I brewed it in a geyser.
STEP 9
Heat the remaining 100 ml of milk to a temperature of 50-60 degrees. Milk at this temperature will be easier to froth. Beat the milk in any way - with a whisk, cappuccino maker or French press. You should get a fluffy foam. If you do not have such devices, then use whipped cream instead of milk.
STEP 10
Take a tall latte glass. This coffee looks most beautiful in transparent glass - when it sits for a while, it will separate into layers. Pour coffee into a glass. It should be one third of the total volume.
STEP 11
Next, pour in the spiced milk. Fill it almost to the very top, leaving space on top only for milk foam or cream.
STEP 12
Spoon milk foam on top. Serve immediately; the coffee should remain hot.
