  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a no-bake cake from Potato cookies? Prepare all the ingredients. Shortbread cookies are suitable for both homemade and store-bought ones. Instead of cocoa powder, you can use a cocoa substitute - carob. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance; it should be at room temperature. Choose high-quality condensed milk. Read more about this at the end of the recipe. Walnuts can be omitted or replaced with other soft nuts.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Break the shortbread cookies into smaller pieces with your hands, and then use a meat grinder or powerful blender to grind the cookies into uniform fine crumbs. Pre-broken cookies are much easier and faster to crush in the future.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Dry the walnuts a little in a dry frying pan. Grind the nuts using a blender or mortar into fine crumbs. Add chopped walnuts and softened butter to shortbread crumbs.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Using a tablespoon or your hands, grind the cookie crumbs and crushed nuts together with the butter into a homogeneous mass.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Carefully add condensed milk and mix until as smooth as possible.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The result should be a soft, slightly crumbly, but plastic mass that holds its shape well.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Using your hands, compact the shortbread mixture into small, oval-shaped “potatoes.” I made cakes of 70 g each.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Gently coat each brownie in cocoa powder, place on a large flat plate and cool slightly. I served the no-bake potato brownie in paper cups like those used for baking muffins. Enjoy your tea!

The recipe for a no-bake potato cookie cake was very useful to me. The fact is that my husband brought a bag of cookies from a hike, but there wasn’t a single whole cookie in there, even if you eat it with a spoon) Apparently the bag ended up at the very bottom of the backpack. For some reason, the idea of making potatoes immediately came to mind. The package contained 500 g of nut cookies, I added 100 g of cottage cheese to it. I ground the cookies into crumbs in a blender and added walnuts. Mixed with condensed milk and butter. I added more condensed milk, the whole jar (350g). I really liked that you don’t need to cook or beat anything! It’s easy to form cakes from the sweet mass; nothing sticks to your hands. I weighed the lumps about 50 g each, and I got 22 pieces. Before rolling in cocoa, I put the cakes in the freezer for 15 minutes so that they set a little. I had a bad experience making potatoes from cookies; they turned out very tough. But according to this recipe, the cakes turned out to be soft, juicy and at the same time hold their shape perfectly! Simply gorgeous potatoes, very tasty, wonderful aroma of nuts and moderately sweet taste! I recommend everyone to try it.
