STEP 1
How to make a no-bake cake from Potato cookies? Prepare all the ingredients. Shortbread cookies are suitable for both homemade and store-bought ones. Instead of cocoa powder, you can use a cocoa substitute - carob. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance; it should be at room temperature. Choose high-quality condensed milk. Read more about this at the end of the recipe. Walnuts can be omitted or replaced with other soft nuts.
STEP 2
Break the shortbread cookies into smaller pieces with your hands, and then use a meat grinder or powerful blender to grind the cookies into uniform fine crumbs. Pre-broken cookies are much easier and faster to crush in the future.
STEP 3
Dry the walnuts a little in a dry frying pan. Grind the nuts using a blender or mortar into fine crumbs. Add chopped walnuts and softened butter to shortbread crumbs.
STEP 4
Using a tablespoon or your hands, grind the cookie crumbs and crushed nuts together with the butter into a homogeneous mass.
STEP 5
Carefully add condensed milk and mix until as smooth as possible.
STEP 6
The result should be a soft, slightly crumbly, but plastic mass that holds its shape well.
STEP 7
Using your hands, compact the shortbread mixture into small, oval-shaped “potatoes.” I made cakes of 70 g each.
STEP 8
Gently coat each brownie in cocoa powder, place on a large flat plate and cool slightly. I served the no-bake potato brownie in paper cups like those used for baking muffins. Enjoy your tea!
