STEP 1
How to make nacho cheese sauce? Prepare all products according to the list. Choose high-quality cheese, sour cream and butter, without vegetable fats. You can take any cheese (hard, semi-hard and even soft or melted), the main thing is that it is tasty for you and melts well!
STEP 2
Melt the butter over low heat in a frying pan or saucepan.
STEP 3
Add grated hard cheese. Mix.
STEP 4
Add sour cream. Mix. If the cheese is not salty enough, add salt and cayenne pepper to taste (ideally, if you like it spicy, add hot jalapeno pepper). Cook over low heat until the cheese has melted and all the ingredients have come together. Stir occasionally.
STEP 5
If desired, add chopped herbs.
STEP 6
Our sauce is ready. Serve with chips and more. Serve the sauce warm; the sauce will thicken as it cools, but you can always warm it up a little in the microwave. Bon appetit!
