Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
We will need sugar, invert syrup, salt, gelatin, water, starch and powdered sugar.
STEP 2
Dilute gelatin in half a glass of water and leave for half an hour.
STEP 3
Pour the remaining water into a saucepan, add salt, sugar, invert syrup.
STEP 4
Bring to a boil, stirring. Then reduce the heat to low and cook without stirring for another 8 minutes.
STEP 5
Melt the steamed gelatin in the microwave.
STEP 6
Pour into a suitable container and start beating with a mixer at minimum speed.
STEP 7
Gradually add hot syrup.
STEP 8
Increase the speed of the mixer and beat for 8-13 minutes until the mass becomes white, thick, similar to whites whipped to peaks.
STEP 9
At this stage, you can use marshmallows as fondant for the cake. But we will continue.
STEP 10
Coat cling film with vegetable oil and place in a shallow pan.
STEP 11
Transfer the mixture into the mold

Flatten
STEP 13
Cover the top with film and put it in a cool place to harden.
STEP 14
Extract from form
STEP 15
Cut marshmallows into pieces
STEP 16
Roll each piece in a dry mixture of powdered sugar and starch.
STEP 17
That's it, homemade marshmallows are ready!
