Lemon tincture on moonshine

STEP 1
How to make a tincture of moonshine with lemon? Prepare your food. by the list. Wash one large lemon and dry with a paper towel. Remove the zest from the lemon. Try not to touch the white part, which is under the zest, because... It happens that it is very bitter and can easily ruin the entire drink.
STEP 2
Finely chop the zest with a knife. This is necessary so that the citrus reveals all its aromas as best as possible in the future drink.
STEP 3
Next, squeeze the juice from the lemon. It’s convenient for me to do it this way: I cut the sour fruit exactly in half. And with my fingers I pass through each slice inside the halves, squeezing out the juice. This way you get two quite decently pressed crusts. But, of course, it will be faster to use a citrus juicer.
STEP 4
Now pass the juice through a strainer to get rid of unnecessary pulp and seeds. By the way, they can also taste bitter, just like the white part under the zest.
STEP 5
Add the zest and lemon juice to the container in which you will infuse the drink. Add sugar there too.
STEP 6
Pour the required amount of moonshine into the lemon juice with zest and sugar. Stir. Infuse the drink for two days. Then strain the tincture through a gauze filter and store in the refrigerator.
