  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a tincture from jam? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. When preparing the tincture, maintain the proportion: one to two, one part jam and two parts vodka. Absolutely any jam can be used for this purpose. You can even take several different ones, of course, so that they match your taste. If your jam is liquid and not very sweet, then add sugar to the tincture.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

If the jam is candied, then you definitely don’t need to add sugar to it. Otherwise the tincture will turn out very sweet. Unlike wine, when the tincture sits on vodka, the sweetness does not evaporate from it.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Take a jar of jam, transfer the contents to a larger jar and fill it with vodka in accordance with the proportions. Mix everything well. Close the jar with a lid and place in a cool, dark place. You can forget about the tincture for a whole month, unlike the process of making homemade wine.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

After a month, take out a jar of tincture and strain it through cheesecloth.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Make tubes-tampons from cotton wool. Pass the tincture through a funnel into which a cotton swab must be inserted. This is necessary so that all the sediment from the jam remains on the cotton wool and does not pass into the bottle. This way the tincture will turn out transparent, without sediment.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

At this stage, the drink is ready for consumption. The cherry jam tincture is especially aromatic with a pleasant tart taste. If you want the alcoholic drink to have an unusual berry flavor, or if the jam used to prepare the tincture is bland and not very aromatic, then you can add cinnamon, vanilla sugar or grated ginger to the ingredients. The taste of the tincture will sparkle with new interesting notes.
