It's amazing what you can do with a microwave. I have already cooked beets and corn in it, and baked muffins in it. It was time for microwave fries. I took four small potatoes. I covered a microwave plate with parchment, placed the potatoes cut into strips on it, salted it and poured sunflower oil on it. Seven minutes in my microwave was not enough. The potato strips seemed to be cooked, but remained very pale and soft. Several times I also turned on the microwave for 30 seconds. In total, the potatoes took 8.5 minutes to cook. Microwave fries tasted like deep fryer fries. The crust turned out, but not golden. The children quickly ate the potatoes and asked for more. For myself, I highlighted both the pros and cons of this method of preparing French fries. The advantage is, of course, the small amount of oil used. If a deep fryer requires a lot of sunflower oil, then for microwave potatoes you need 20 milliliters. The downside is the small amount of potatoes that can be cooked at a time. I think this recipe is perfect for those times when you want to eat French fries alone and there's no point in turning on the deep fryer. Thanks so much for the recipe!
