STEP 1
How to bake shortbread cookies with boiled condensed milk? Measure out the required ingredients. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft. Corn starch can be replaced with potato starch. Since the cookies have a sweet filling, I made the dough moderately sweet. If you like it sweeter, use more powdered sugar. Choose high-quality, proven boiled condensed milk. Without vegetable fats and food additives.
STEP 2
In a bowl, combine soft butter, powdered sugar and vanilla sugar (or vanilla on the tip of a knife). Add salt to balance the flavor. Use powdered sugar, not sugar. The sugar will not have time to dissolve and grains may be felt in the dough.
STEP 3
Grind everything until smooth.
STEP 4
Mix flour with starch and gradually sift into the butter mixture. Mix everything quickly. You may need less flour, depending on the consistency of the dough.
STEP 5
The dough is very soft, pliable, and does not stick to your hands. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
STEP 6
I divided the dough into two parts to make it easier to roll out. Roll out the dough into a thin layer. It is better to roll out the dough immediately on parchment so that the cookies do not lose their shape when transferred.
STEP 7
Using molds, cut out dough pieces. I made the top part of the cookie with a hole in the middle. You can cut out cookies using any round cutout, such as a cup.
STEP 8
Also cut out cookies from the second part of the dough.
STEP 9
Combine the dough scraps, roll them out again and cut out the rest of the cookies.
STEP 10
Bake cookies in an oven preheated to 180 C for about 15 minutes. Make sure that the cookies do not dry out or become hard. It should remain a pale color, then it will be tender and crumbly. Please note that baking times and conditions may vary. Focus on the operating features of your oven. Cool the baked products.
STEP 11
Apply a layer of boiled condensed milk to one cookie.
STEP 12
Cover with the second cookie. Form all the cookies in this way. I got 16 cookies with a diameter of 5 cm.
STEP 13
