STEP 1
How to make borscht for the winter with tomato paste? Take all the necessary ingredients according to the list.
STEP 2
Peel the beets, carrots, onions, garlic and rinse.
STEP 3
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater or use a chopper.
STEP 4
Also coarsely grate the beets. Use gloves to avoid staining your hands.
STEP 5
Cut the onion into small cubes.
STEP 6
In a large saucepan, combine chopped beets, carrots, and onions. Add salt and sugar.
STEP 7
Pour odorless sunflower oil into the vegetables and add tomato paste. Cook the vegetables, covered, for 50 minutes from the moment they boil, reducing the heat and stirring occasionally.
STEP 8
Add garlic crushed through a press and pour in vinegar. Stir the mixture and cook for another 20 minutes, stirring.
STEP 9
Place the stewed vegetables in tomato paste into sterile jars. Makes 4 half liter jars.
STEP 10
Seal the jars with the dressing with sterile lids. Place upside down, wrap and let cool completely.
STEP 11
Store borscht with tomato paste in a dark and cool place. Good luck with your preparations!
