  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare ayran you will need natural cold yogurt, cold mineral water, salt, herbs (I only have parsley, but you can also use dill, cilantro, and any other fresh herbs).

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Grind the greens in any available way (blender or finely chopped). The finer the greens are chopped, the faster they will give off their flavor to the ayran.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour the yogurt into the blender bowl, add water and beat everything until smooth.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Next, add chopped herbs and salt (the amount of salt varies according to taste).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Beat the mixture thoroughly. We taste it, if something is missing (herbs, salt, water) - add and beat again.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Ayran is ready. It is recommended to drink it cold. This drink is prepared immediately before drinking. If it stands for a long time, water will begin to peel off.

Thank you, Dasha, for a great recipe. I learned how to cook matsun, and ayran is even easier, but drinking it is a great pleasure! Hot days are coming soon and such a drink is simply necessary in our kitchen!

I also cook ayran from matsun! It turns out sooo delicious! Making matsun couldn't be easier! The recipe is on my page... By the way, matsun is great as a dressing for salads, shawarma sauces and girros. And just with fruits and berries!
