STEP 1

How to make an Anthill cake? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Butter and boiled condensed milk should be at room temperature, so remove them from the refrigerator in advance.

Crush the cookies into small pieces with your hands. You can use shortbread or biscuit cookies. To speed up the process, you can put all the cookies in a bag and lightly beat them with a rolling pin. The main thing is not to let the cookies become fine crumbs. For a beautiful cut we need small whole pieces.
STEP 3

Chop the walnuts with a knife or lightly grind in a blender until small pieces. If you wish, you can roast the nuts in a dry frying pan for a couple of minutes to release the aroma.
STEP 4

Now prepare the cream. Place the soft butter in a large bowl and beat with a mixer until fluffy.
STEP 5

Add boiled condensed milk and beat everything together until smooth and fluffy. If you use store-bought condensed milk, it is important to choose it correctly. If you shake the jar, no sound should be heard inside. If you can hear the condensed milk gurgling inside, it means it is of poor quality. High-quality condensed milk has a dense, non-running consistency!
STEP 6

Add nuts and cookies to the cream. Mix everything thoroughly.

It is necessary that the cream covers all the nuts and cookies, connecting the crumbly parts together.
STEP 8

Place the resulting mass in a heap on a dish. Press firmly with your hands, forming an even, high dome, reminiscent of an anthill.
STEP 9

Sprinkle the resulting mound with poppy seeds on all sides, imitating ants. I also sprinkled poppy seeds around the anthill to make the cake as similar as possible to the real thing. Place the cake in the refrigerator for 4 hours for the cream to soak and harden.
