STEP 1
How to make alcoholic mulled wine at home? Very simple! Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can change and add spices to your taste. Place the cinnamon stick, ginger, cloves and star anise in a ladle. You can also use dried crushed spices.
STEP 2
Add sugar and pour in the required amount of water. Take clean, filtered water.
STEP 3
Place the ladle on the fire and bring to a boil. Then remove from heat, cover with a lid and let steep for 15 minutes.
STEP 4
Meanwhile, wash the orange under running water using food grade detergent and cut it into pieces.
STEP 5
Strain the spicy broth through a sieve and pour into a ladle. If you used dried crushed spices, then strain through cheesecloth folded in several layers so that spice particles do not get into the drink. Add the sliced oranges to the ladle.
STEP 6
Next, pour the wine into the ladle and put it on the fire. Bring almost to a boil. You can't boil mulled wine. Remove from heat when the first bubbles and steam appear. Cover the finished mulled wine with a lid and let the drink sit for 10 minutes. Then pour homemade hot mulled wine into tall glasses and help yourself. Bon appetit!
