There is no need to beat the mass any more as the whites may settle, milk and butter must be carefully added and mixed with a spoon from top to bottom, the flour must be sifted at least once, if you sift more the dough will be more airy, baking powder and vanillin must be added to the sifted flour and then to egg mass, also stir with a spoon from top to bottom until the flour is absorbed. I always do this, even if I fiddle with the dough even longer, but it never comes out like that.
