Simple tangerine compote

Very tasty, very sunny, very light drink! A simple tangerine compote will appeal to many! It is very aromatic, has a beautiful yellow color and, most importantly, is healthier than lemonade. And it takes very little time to prepare!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a simple tangerine compote? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Choose tangerines that are bright, ripe, and have easy-to-peel peels. This can be determined by feeling them a little. To the touch, the peel does not seem to adhere to the tangerines. Be sure to taste the tangerines to understand how much sugar to add to the compote. You can take more or less tangerines depending on how bright the taste of the compote you want to get.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the tangerines. Separate all the slices from each other and remove the white skins. If you leave them, the finished compote may taste a little bitter.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the peeled tangerines in a saucepan. Next, pour sugar and a pinch of citric acid into the pan. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Fill the tangerines with water and place the pan on the fire and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer the drink for 15 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

During cooking, the tangerine slices will burst and all the juice will go into the drink. If this does not happen, crush the slices with a masher or spoon. Remove the finished compote from the heat. Cover the pan with a lid and leave the compote to brew for another 15-30 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

A tasty, aromatic and beautiful compote is ready! There is no need to strain it. Pour the compote into glasses along with tangerine slices and help yourself. Bon appetit!

There were tangerines lying around, we ate them all at once, and then they lay there. I think it hasn’t gone bad yet, maybe there’s a recipe, I found a simple tangerine compote. The preparation is easy and quick, you get a whole liter from four tangerines. The tangerines were not very sweet, so I didn’t reduce the amount of sugar, but the compote turned out sweet, I think you need to add a little less, and then add more if needed. I cooked it a little longer, about 20-25 minutes. The compote brewed, poured it into a jar, and drank a glass of compote with a croissant, but it would be just right with pancakes or pancakes. The compote turned out delicious, homemade and natural.
