STEP 1

Let's prepare the ingredients for the potatoes and gravy in the oven. If the dish is prepared in the summer or during the harvest season, when the potatoes are young with delicate thin skin, then the potatoes can be baked in their skins, after washing them and cutting them into slices.
STEP 2

If the potatoes are no longer young, with a hard skin, then they need to be peeled and cut into large cubes.
STEP 3

Preparing mustard sauce for potatoes. Peel the garlic cloves, pass them through a press, finely chop them with a knife or grate them on a fine grater. Wash the lemon thoroughly with soap and running water. Grate the zest on a fine grater, cut off the top of the lemon and squeeze out the juice. Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave and cool.
STEP 4

Pour melted butter, vegetable oil, lemon juice, lemon zest into a bowl, add salt, chopped garlic, mustard, and a mixture of dry herbs. Mustard can be used in powder or grain form.
STEP 5

Mix. Place the cooked potatoes in a bowl, stir and let them marinate a little.
STEP 6

Place the potatoes on a baking sheet or baking dish. Drizzle the remaining gravy from the bowl over the top of the potatoes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the potatoes for about 30 minutes.
STEP 7

We focus on the operation of our oven and the size of the potato pieces; new potatoes cook faster. The potatoes should be well browned on the outside and soft on the inside, but they should not be too dry.
STEP 8

We take out the potatoes and serve them to the table, sprinkling chopped fresh herbs on top. You can serve potatoes as a separate dish or with fresh vegetables, salad, meat and bread if desired. Bon appetit!
